I was passed this in email, that using the BusLogic SCSI adapter, that OS/2 1.3 can use it’s CD-ROM interface for those of you who want to be able to directly mount ISO images!
The driver is here.
So apparently all you need to do is just add in the BusLogic controller, and copy the BOOTBID.BID to C:\ (don’t rename it).
Apparently, it can even boot from SCSI hard disks. So it’d be a great way to give that SQL 1.0 install access to a bunch of storage.
Not to sound offtopic, but still for OS/2 1.x, I have found a et4000 display driver that has 256 color modes (up to 800x600x256 being usable) on mpoli files, and the video driver will work on PCem!
can you post a download address?
Please email me that driver. Can you?
Interesting post. I’ve been living in OS/2 nostalgia land. I’ve been looking for SQL 1.0 or 1.1 for OS/2. Can you tell me where I can get this? I’ve been searching high and low
