As part of nerdy new year celebrations I got Fujitsu Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme SINIX-Z running on 86Box. This was possible thanks to Plamen and Vlad!.
Update: got X11 going:
Also C compiler:
Also networking… apparently you have to manually connect it.
Here is a pre-installed image and 86Box configuration file. Now includes bash, gcc and gzip. These are also downloadable here.
Woah! I’ve tried this before (some months ago), only to get errors trying to access the distribution CD-ROM (wouldn’t be seen at all), and gave up. What system configuration did you use for this?
I will post everything including 86box config in a few days. I still want to fix the C compiler licensing situation.
I checked out the premade VM, and it is working on my end too! I tried to use the keydisk for 5.41 under osarchive.org (which is what I think you’ve done, as /etc/.products/.legit/SINIX & SINIX-BASE have a 5.41 version number) but I haven’t been able to get the following products to install:
SIlan
SIaddon
SIspool
SIwinue
SIwinue, especially, is what I’m interested in. Is there any way to trick it to install and license?
This is so cool !
Thanks all for you work !
The site osarchive.org is down and image is not avaiable
any mirror?
Thanks

I think the web interface was down, it’s fixed now.
Thanks
Hi, thanks for all your work.
I feel dumb, but … what is a password to access this VM ?
I tried root/ , root/root , root/123456 , root/toor
Nothing works
Nevermind, it _was_ root/root. Silly me
Glad you figured it out!
