Nano X for MS-DOS Posted on August 19, 2013 by neozeed A friend (Hi Frank!) gave me this link to a project page which has all kinds of X software built for MS-DOS. For the 2 or 3 people in the world still running MS-DOS.
this is awesome. i’ll have to dig up a spare hard disk for ms-dos on my solaris 9 machine.. : ) Log in to Reply
Interesting, I even remember DesQview/X. Perhaps time to tig it out again ad see if it will run in Qemu. Log in to Reply
Indeed it does! Although it really was a lot of work to setup. Much like machines of the time were a big deal to get something like Desqview/X working correctly. Log in to Reply
SkyOS seemed cool but I could never get it working in VMWare or VirtualBox. It’d probably work in QEMU… Log in to Reply
