ouch, apparently even if you logout, you’ll still be tracked by sites that have the ‘like’ button…
Well that just sounds creepy so I’ll remove them from my site. Â I don’t think there was all that many people mentioning this blog on facebook outside of some brief ‘save officer spock‘ thing but at the same point I don’t want to participate in some larger big brother thing.
I just hope G+ doesn’t do anything like that (haha!)
If not anything else, do check the size of the “google+” javascript&stuff. I filter it (amongst nearly everything else).
Do it the same way Spiegel did – the Like/+1 images are loaded from your local server, and have to be clicked twice to work (first click loads the actual Like/+1 code, second click submits then). I’ve seen the same thing pop up on other sites.
So many sites and forums now automatically load stuff from Facebook, so I have permanently set http://www.facebook.com and connect.facebook.net to 127.0.0.2 around here.

Argh, why did the forum make an http link out of one of those addresses.. didn’t mean to advertise for them!

ah no worries it does it for other weird stuff like [email protected] or http://neverwillwork.void.website … lol
But I know it is unnerving how the world is going FB… but then again it also went myspace crazy & yahoo crazy before that.. So in all hopes that this too will pass… 🙂
