OS/2 1.3 did boot but my machine did not have enough memory to continue.

I remember back in those dark years hearing a weird roomer about OS/2. I was told that in order to support a DOS box, that 300K of memory was dedicated to a vector table. This was in the days when I could run a very healthy development environment in 512K, and the cost of memory made me want to.
