  1. Sorry about the flickering on slower machines. I think I already fixed this for the next release. I’ve also implemented IPX support. Games like Doom already work over IPX, but I haven’t found the bug that prevents Z from working so the release has been delayed until I can find that. Sorry, no ETA 🙂

  2. Hmm it still flickers like mad.. Ok, ok it’s a ‘hackintosh’ but it plays portal 2 like a champ!

    Model Name: Mac Pro
    Model Identifier: MacPro2,1
    Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 2.57 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 4
    L2 Cache: 6 MB
    Memory: 8 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz
    Boot ROM Version: MP21.005C.B01
    SMC Version (system): 1.30f3

I should imagine 2.57Ghz ought to be enough to push say jdosbox @ 500 cycles playing a CGA game, right? Although I guess it’s something about the Apple Java…

  3. Flickering will be fixed in the next release, hopefully released sometime in the next month. It affects slower machines because the renderer thread wasn’t synced with the main emulator thread.
