I never was interested in speed, as modern CPU’s are plenty fast enough, stability however is where it’s at!

I’ll have to see if I can do anything with it and rebase from there.

Oh cool! Was it worth it? I just never got around to it, but I had high hopes of at least the MMU being sorta useful for things like MachTen.

In my fork of BII, I rebased the UAE CPU code on top of ARAnyM’s code. I planned to rebase it again on top of Hatari’s code but haven’t gotten to it yet.

Shoebill can run 0.7 – 3 fine enough, Qemu however is more full system emulation to give the entire experience.

I’m a fan of both. I’d posted this qemu post a while back. It’s not so bad.

Is Shoebill still the best way to run A/UX or does it run in QEMU now?

I know the author it’s not why he stopped, as you can see he stopped long before Qemu was capable. It’s for other complicated mega corp reasons.

I was the one that got Shoebill running on Win32 first, and gave him the needed magical flags to pack structs the GNU way on Win32 so it’d work. Fun times! hard to believe it’s nearly need a decade.
