In reply to neozeed. It was pretty expensive. My employer bought a copy for our shop and if I remember correctly it cost around $500 USD in 1996. It was great as long as you didn't mind 640x480 BGI graphics. We eventually just started using DJGPP because it supported SVGA as well as giving us a flat memory space. Those were exciting times!

Borland Powerpack for DOS was another DOS extender that was popular with some because of it’s easy integration with Turbo C and other Borland products. I still have a copy in the closet somewhere. It could even use a limited pprtion of the Windows API and call functions in any Windows DLL.
