I made a MDX using a blueray drive in Japan… I’m not sure if it’s all that different, I can send it though.

I think the only machine I have in Hong Kong with an optical drive is my 2006 Mac Pro.. Well modern ones, I do have a G5…

One fun thing is that you can put the English CD into UNZ after the game engine is installed and it plays in English… Although the midi tracks on the Japanese disc are extracted so a fusion CD would have to be made. I haven’t tried merging the floppy version yet.

Keep in mind you seemingly need certain Plextor CD drives/certain Blu-Ray drives to make what they would consider “acceptable” dumps.

Absolutely! I basically had to choose between a junk Fujitsu FM TOWNS, or a set of Macross…

That feeling when I’m not sure if I’m just poor, or if everyone else is just RICH.

Even ANIME in BOOK OFF seemed a bit pricey to be honest.

I noticed the same is true for DVDs and BluRay discs of recent movies/series/anime.

Two episodes of a newly-released Anime show on a BluRay disc for 6000-8000 yen… pure insanity
