We're still waiting to hear about the manual!

Don't underestimate the power of golf. There is a reason why just about every bar had a Golden Tee Golf cabinet in the 90s. Heck, most of them still do!

I had a copy of Microsoft Golf 2.0 for Windows at one point. I played it way more then I care to admit and I don't even like golf!

I still use Phar Lap extenders for realtime device control- they are fast on a 2.1GHz I3 machine. Figured out how to get a FAT-32 512GByte SATA drive to boot DOS (7.1, win98se set to BOOTGUI=0) and have PharLap 8 use 4GBytes of RAM. You can dual-boot XP on the same disk, all a single partition. Realtime- takes over the protected mode interrupt vector table. The 512GByte SATA drive: use FreeDOS FDISK, FreeDOS Format for 1 active partition, THEN use WIN98se bootable floppy "Format C:/S". It just works, took some trial and error. After that- you can install XP and have it retain the "WINDOWS" boot, which is good old DOS 7.1. Load HiMem.sys to get 4GBytes of RAM. FreeDOS has some problems running PharLap.

I find it amazing that the PharLap team allowed their software to use the full 32-bit protected mode address space, unlike many others that placed a physical limit on the page tables.

There is a breakdown on what on Earth you are clicking for, aiming and stuff. But I just found out that I have to spend a week plus in China and in my rush to go, I left the manual in Hong Kong. Sigh.

At least I have images of the disks.

The scenery was so amazing (to me at least) that I used to hit it into the rough and all over the place just to look around. No, really, it was intentional :)

Any interesting tidbits in the manual?
