Ah ok. Maybe IE 4 is just a terrible gopher client.

It looks identical, but shouldn’t crash if the connection times out or the client drops the connection.

I must be doing something wrong in the config as it still looks the same to me….

I don’t see a binary on the github for version 0.2 …. Yeah it looks like windows update got me. I either need to setup the console to auto-login, or try srvany …. or beg you to make it a service… lol

Just an FYI, the old version was pretty crash-tastic, especially when the client dropped the connection. There’s a new version on Github.

Your Gopher site seems to be down, but here’s the IBM OS/2 client connecting to my mac garden proxy: http://imgur.com/ASx8vsu . You must pass a selector to it (Eg 1 as the selector).

Cool! I’m tempted to shuffle the 30+ floppies and install the OS/2 Warp gopher client to see how it looks, although Im pretty sure it’ll render really weird as IBM had their own idea of how things should look.

It also works on TurboGopher on the Mac – http://i.imgur.com/obYrUcZ.png – but doesn’t seem to like the downloads properly. The client seems to open the connection then closes it not longer after it prompts to save the file. I’m not sure what’s going on there as Netscape seems fine.
