From the latest changelog, PCem coming to Linux!

There isn’t a big announcement,  yet, but the changelog is here.

Personally I like PCem over DOSBox as it emulates a more faithful representation of an 80’s or 90’s PC.

  1. Agreed, PCem is a fantastic emulator and getting better every week.
Also, we need to see more of your virtual networking stuff. Very informative and fun!

    • Ok, I know I should do more.. Is there anything in particular you are interested in?

I’m just glad thanks to virtualization I can keep all this stuff on one computer, and not need a small army’s worth like in the ‘good old days’.

  2. I must admit to enjoying every single one of your GNS articles, particularly the ones with Decnet. Is it possible to simulate an SDN controller like Openflow or OpenDaylight in GSN (or attached to GSN)?

    • I am pretty sure I should be able to do that.. I know I do want to do something with OpenStack + SDN to have it auto deploy some DOOM deathmatch, or something useful like that. … LOL

I know I need to look into that anyways as that is where the industry is headed.
