I’m in need of the OS/2 2.1 recovery media, preferably files that can be placed on 1.44 3.5″ diskettes. I’d appreciate any and all feedback as to how or where these files may be acquired. Kindly contact me as soon as you can.

Thanks for the tip on which MinGW I’ll flush out my install and try that again.

Maybe this time in a VM so I don’t trash my base install (again).. grrr…

I was able to build this release of qemu (1.5.0) with MinGW from November 2011 and by using your building 1.1.1-1 tutorial neozeed (plus compiling pixman) and, again, the issue of the crash in the hard disk boot is probably related to the coroutine-win32.c file.

I also found this one which works as long as you have all the dlls (i got from GTK+ as it suggests)

Is there any special thing that you need to do to boot an iso in version 1.4.x and 1.5.0? I’ve found a google codes project that is compiling 32bit and 64bit qemu binaries but qemu stops working when I try to boot an iso (hard disk images work though).
I try using;
“qemu-system-i386 -cdrom name-of-iso.iso” which is the old way of doing it and
“qemu-system-i386 -drive file=name-of-iso.iso,index=2,media=cdrom”
both qemu starts and then I get an error message saying that qemu has stopped working.
I’m on Windows 7 32bit.
Any help would be much appreciated.

will it? well it is faster than 1.1-1.4.1, but still a lot slower than 0.15.1:
