I&#039;ll have to find the article, but of course I simply have to rely on what I can find as I wasn&#039;t there...!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I found this UUCP map....&lt;br /&gt;http://ru.arf.ru/Svid/iga_app.html&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;with &#039;DOS&#039; appearing 51 times, vs Xenix appearing 12 times.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also I read somewhere that it was &#039;policy&#039; that if the software wasn&#039;t sold in the soviet union, even the government would pirate it? 					<description><![CDATA[Being from Soviet Union I must say I don&#039;t share this point of view.&lt;br /&gt;At least in Siberia DOS, OS/2, Netware and VAX OSes ruled the World. After earlier betas of Chicago, most of DOS and consequently Netware installations were replaced with Win95. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Never saw Xenix. It was like a legend -  &#034;there is a Unix from Microsoft&#034;.]]></description>
