This is an old trick: if you've got any other version 3 Infocom story files and do not have an executable (.COM) interpreter, you can play these by changing the story name with a hex editor. Pick either ZORK1.COM, ZORK2.COM or ZORK3.COM, copy it to the new name (e.g. do 'PIP SUSPEND.COM=ZORK1.COM') and change bytes 0x0005 - 0x000C to the name of the story file, minus the '.DAT' suffix. To play Suspended, I changed 'ZORK1' to 'SUSPEND' and named the Suspended story file 'SUSPEND.DAT'. I got the story file from the 'Lost Treasures Of Infocom' pack.
